Check background:

Only changes the preview background (does not affect the cutout). Use the complementary color to reveal spill: magenta for green, cyan for red. Checker shows the true transparency. Scroll the mouse over the image to zoom.

Background color

Detected automatically. Adjust if the background was not identified correctly.

Tolerance How much the cutout tolerates colors close to the background. Raise if background remains; lower if the subject starts to disappear. ⚠️ If the whole image gets erased, lower the tolerance — that usually fixes it.

⭐ Aggressive mode Excellent for OBJECTS and SCENES (removes even background color trapped inside the object, like screens and gaps). NOT recommended for living beings, especially faces — it may eat parts of the subject.

Detect internal details Looks for background trapped INSIDE the object (gaps between leaves, grids, hair strands). Turn on for foliage/hair; leave off for solid images (characters, products).

Preserve glow / light aura Keeps the glow (neon/light) emitted by the object in the LIGHT color, instead of leaving it in the background color. Great for crystals, neon, magic effects and lights.

Filter semi-transparency (glass, gel, aura) Switches the working mode: instead of forcing the inside of the object opaque, it separates, pixel by pixel, the color that belongs to the object from background showing through. Turn on for glass, gel, smoke and auras. Do NOT use on characters or sprites whose color is close to the background — they will turn translucent.

Preserve shadow (translucent gray) Keeps the shadow cast on the background as a translucent gray shadow, instead of removing it or leaving it colored. Great for logos, icons and products with a shadow. Shadow strength Opacity of the preserved shadow (only with "Preserve shadow" on).

Preserve fine details (hair) Does not eat thin strands or delicate edges. Turn on for portraits and fur; may leave more loose noise.

Expected subject color Fine hue tuning at the edge. Raise if a background-colored fringe remains; lower if a dark fringe appears.

Edge width How many transition pixels to soften on the edge. Higher = softer edge; lower = crisper edge.

Internal sensitivity How much the cutout trusts the subject's shape to avoid punching holes inside it. Higher preserves more of the core.

Internal connection reach Raise to clean background trapped between fine details (leaves, grids, hair).

Grow / shrink the edge Shifts the edge: above 1 grows it (covers halo), below 1 shrinks it (cuts tighter).

Edge curve Hardness of the transparency transition. Lower = harder edge; higher = softer/feathered.

Despill strength Removes the background color reflection/spill on the object. Higher neutralizes more but may wash out colors.

How to use

Upload a photo taken on a solid-color background (green, blue, magenta…).
The tool detects the background and cuts it out automatically.
Check it over the checker background; use "Advanced settings" to refine.
Click "Download PNG" to save the image with transparency.
